! IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES !

Common sense when collecting at all locations should be taken and knowledge of tide times should always be noted. The main danger at walton is being cut off, the steps down to the beach are always inaccessible at hightide and hence one should return in time before the sea reaches the steps. Beware of cliff falls and landslides, these often occur. Climbing the cliff to reach the shell bed is not recommended and should be avoided during winter months, shells can be collected from the slippage's, but if you do climb the cliff to gain access to the shell beds, be careful of soft areas.
