UKAFH is a global community of amateur fossil enthusiasts based in the UK. Although not run by UKF, we have affiliated with them.
We are FREE to join and offer monthly fossil hunts, monthly quizzes and meetings.

We also offer a place to communicate and share with other fossil heads knowledge, opinion and experience. All are welcome to join the community and join us at our events whether you are just starting out or a well seasoned professional. Welcome! Please refer to our main website; http://www.ukafh.co.uk. Fossil Hunts and Events

22 April 2012 - Fossil Hunt - Kettering Quarry, Were meeting at the harvester car park at 10.30am Kettering. Then a 10 min walk to the site. Only limited spaces available. First come first serve. FREE

27 May 2012 - Fossil Hunt - Hamton Vale (Yaxley), Cambs. Meeting at 11:00 on a hunt for pyratised ammonites at this beutiful nature reserve and resivoir. Contact Us to book a place - transport available from NW London and Kettering if required. FREE

17th June - Fossil Hunt - Walton-on-Naze, Essex. Meeting at 11:30 we're hoping someone finds a Megalodon tooth. Transport available from NW London and Kettering on request. FREE

22 July 2012 - Fossil Hunt - Aust, Bristol. Meeting at 11.00 we will be searching for teeth from the famous Aust Bone Bed. FREE

19 August 2012 - Fossil Hunt - Isle of Sheppey, Kent. Meeting at 10:00 This is one of the best exposures of London Clay in the country - expect to find Eocene crabs and sharks teeth, a real treat of pyrite and nodular fossils. This are yearly family fossil hunt. FREE

9 September 2012 - Fossil Hunt -Ramsholt, Suffolk.
Rich in a diversity of fossils from the London Clay and suffolk crags. Shark teeth, shells, crabs and fish remains can be found here. There is 30min to hour walk to the site, where meeting at 9.30am. FREE

16th September Abbey woods TBC

19th, 20th and 21st October Whitby weekender



18th November Folkestone TBC

9th December Mortimer Forest
